BROADSTONE MAKERS QUARTER

I really enjoyed working on this project. I was tasked with bringing some life to this empty bike room inside a parking structure. My vision was to bring some of the California Outdoors indoors. At the same time I wanted to stay true to the environment and focused on using car parts for the furniture. This resulted in a bench made from seatbelts I cut from the junkyard and tires my friends in Barrio Logan cut for me. Furthermore I was gifted an old surfboard and some old street signs to make the frames. I finished it off by painting a wave mural indoors and some yellow lines on the outside. The lines represent sun rays with the big ole sun in the middle.
